Amendments to .za Domain Name Authority Memo and Articles of Association

You are hereby informed that .za DNA has recently completed discussions with the Department of Communications about the amendments proposed to its current memo and articles of association. As requested by the November 2006 AGM, the proposed amendments have now been posted to the .za DNA website for the members to note and/or comment before the Minister of Communications signs them off in terms of the ECT Act (this is anticipated to happen later in August).

You can read the amendments at http://www.zadna.org.za/ and email any comments/questions you may have to vika@zadna.org.za no later than Wednesday, 8 August 2007.

The amendments are intended amongst other things to define .za DNA powers clearer and align them to the provisions of Chapter X of the ECT Act and of the Income Tax Act provisions pertaining to non-profit organizations.
